The
competition consisting of 200 or more men and women.
Started
more than 30 years ago at 4th St. in Manhattan Beach
it
eventually ending up at 30th St in Hermosa Beach.
It’s
now a annual festivity and has been hosted for the past 25
or
more year’s by “local favorite” Robert
”Burgie”
Benz
former
“Mayor” of Hermosa Beach, and host of “The Burgie Show”
Starting
with a 1 mile sand run, then a 1 mile paddle and
finishing
up with a 6 pack of beer! ( and hold it down for 15 min)

it's NOT what you think!
The
REAL Ironman is a physically challenging competition.
This
one is just for kicks! Every year, on the 4th of July!
The
Ironman is put together for everyone to enjoy. Needless to say,
don't get too close to the competitors when they're drinking because
many tend to have a hard time keeping it down!

Norbera and Annie Seawright (Local Hottie’s) from Hermosa Beach,
representing the Ironman event held on the Fourth of July, presented
a check for $1,018.22 made payable to the Hermosa Beach Education
Foundation; Kent Allen accepted on behalf of the foundation. Right
On Girls!
